Cory Foley-Marsello

Cory Foley-Marsello joined the Bias staff in 2007 after apprenticing with renowned engineer/producer Peter Katis. A native of Rhode Island, Cory grew up in a diverse musical environment, garnering a special appreciation for Alt Rock and American Roots music. This led Cory to assisting on the critically acclaimed record “The Boxer” by the National.

Since joining the Bias staff, Cory has worked with many of the DC area’s finest independent musicians including Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, Nick Majnoni and The Great Unknowns, all of whom appreciate Cory’s laid-back studio manner and great ears.

Speaking of her experience with Cory, multiple Grammy winning artist/producer Cathy Fink says, “When you combine Cory's smile and gentle personality with his studio skills, you've got a winning combination. We have worked with Cory on many occasions and heartily recommend him!”

Cory also holds a BA in Sociology and Music Theory as well as being an avid guitarist and composer. He also uses his guitar skills as a volunteer teacher for Guitars not Guns, a children’s charity which gives free guitars and lessons to at risk youth.
